Blue Chip Canine

Our Mission
My name is Cameron Arsenault and I am the owner of BlueChip Canine. As it pertains to my journey as a Dog Trainer, I would like to explain the meaning behind the name “BlueChip Canine”. At its core, the phrase “Blue-Chip” means “a reliable investment” or “of the highest quality”. We believe, when you entrust your dog to BlueChip Canine, you are making a reliable investment and you will always receive training of the highest quality.
Additionally, Chip also happens to be the name of my dog. He is the embodiment of what I strive to achieve with each of my clients’ dogs. Chip is a dog who I can take with me anywhere, and he is always eager for the opportunity. He is also one of very few dogs who get to enjoy the freedom of being completely off-leash 100% of the time. That being said, he is provided very clear and consistent rules, boundaries, and expectations that allow him this freedom.
Although Chip is a dog that is beyond eager to be on-the-go, we spent countless hours working on his house manners to get him to a point where he fully comprehends the difference between indoor, outdoor, public, private, and play environments because each one of these environments have different meanings to Chip and expectations attached to them. Chip is a loving, confident, neutral, happy and out-going dog.
Our goal at BlueChip Canine is to provide you with “the highest quality” training in pursuit of creating healthy long-lasting relationships between dogs and humans, and to also encourage and steer dogs in the direction of being a “loving, confident, neutral, and happy dog”. If this is what you desire for you and your dog, give us a call today to schedule a consultation. We look forward to hearing from you.
Our Story
My name is Cameron Arsenault. I have been working with dogs for about 5 years now. I currently have 2 dogs of my own; a German Shepherd/Pitbull Mix named “Chip” and a Bernese mountain dog/Pitbull mix named “Bane”. As far back as I can remember, I have always felt a special connection to all furry companions. As a child/teenager, I was heavily dedicated to preparing myself for a future as a veterinarian. I did this by volunteering at animal shelters, pet-sitting, dog-walking, and immersing myself in as much information as I could. As I matured, I struggled significantly to find things I genuinely enjoyed participating and learning about. That was until I started my job as a daycare attendee/counselor at a corporate/franchise facility.
Within weeks I quickly realized that working with dogs was something that would put a smile on my face everyday. Thus, I began my journey of becoming the dog-trainer I am today. Starting with doggy daycare, I was able to get real-life examples of dog body language, as well as real-life communication between dogs.
Once I moved my way up to a counselor coordinator (shift leader), I began to search for a mentor. I then found a job at a privately owned daycare/training facility. While there, I shadowed and accompanied the head trainer for numerous months. I then began taking my own clients while being coached and guided by the head trainer. Eventually I began taking on my own clients without the need of any assistance. From there, I have trained an abundance of different dog breeds ranging from a 6lb Chihuahua to a 100lb bullmastiff. I have also had the pleasure of training dogs with all different types of temperaments, ranging from insecure rescue dogs who would panic in fear the instant they saw a car all the way in-tact male and female dogs looking to attack each other.
Dog training is truly a passion and lifestyle, one that I have welcomed into my life with open, loving arms. The only guarantee I will make to clients as a dog trainer is that I will care for and train your dog as though they were my own. Each client and their dog also become a “part of the family”, the struggles for each client and dog create such a personalized and bond-strengthening relationship between both trainer and client, client and dog, and finally trainer and dog.

In addition to getting hands-on support and guidance, I have and will never stop my journey of knowledge in the dog training industry. I am constantly absorbing and distributing new/exciting techniques, methods, and relationship-strengthening knowledge. This is truly the bread and butter of being what some would call a “good” dog trainer. Anyone can follow exact steps that have been laid out nice and neatly for them in a training facility. Very few trainers are able to adapt based on the owner's wants, as well as the dog's NEEDS. Being able to decipher between the two is absolutely essential when looking for a reliable dog trainer.
If you're looking for a trainer who prioritizes your dog's true needs over quick fixes, you're in the right place! My goal is to provide honest, effective training that sets you and your dog up for long-term success.
